Money doesn't buy happiness? Well, it does buy rollerskates. Have you ever seen a sad person rollerskate? You cannot be sad on rollerskates.

The 'Rollerbaby' series is a throwback to my youth in the 1970s when rollerskating was king. The colors choices in these paintings are also a homage to the time-worn tones in the pictures that my grandfather took in the '70s. Those are the colours of my childhood.
