I paint people and things with a unique and self-created style called 'Pixelism'. This style is created by simplifying an image to a more simple value scale, stripping the colour to black and white, ten assigning colours to the various steps in the value scale. The result is traditionally painted pieces that look digital. From a distance, they look like photos but up close they are detailed, layered, topographical maps of colour and texture.

My influences originate with everything I see, feel and experience, but I’ve always loved comic books and fashion photography. My subject matter comes from fashion photography and my colour choices are reminiscent of 80’s comic art mixed with the sun-drenched and time-faded photos from the ’70s and ’80s.

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The following collections are of people and things that I find beautiful, and a bunch of things in between.

My art is painted on either gallery stretched canvas or wood panel, painted with professional quality acrylic paint.
